Who is Mrs. Adams?
Hello! My name is Kate Adams, and I teach 7th grade science and 7th grade girls P.E. at Timothy Christian Middle School.
I am originally from Sheboygan, Wisconsin - freshwater surfing capital of the world! I grew up there with my mom and dad, a younger brother and sister, and a miniature dachshund named Zambezi (may he rest in peace). I attended Sheboygan Christian School and Sheboygan County Christian High School, then went on to Calvin College. I graduated in May, 2009 with a degree in biology and secondary education, and a minor in health education. On August 7, 2009, I married Vinnie Adams, and in November 2012 we were blessed with a son - Jakob Vincent is now an almost 3 year old who loves trains, trucks, balls, water, and the outdoors. We're expecting baby #2 come mid-December and can't wait to find out if Jakob will have a little brother or sister!
When I am not lesson planning, teaching, or grading papers, I like to run, camp, hang out with my family, read, and play games. The coolest places I have been in the world are Zimbabwe, Africa and Oahu, Hawai'i.
My husband and I attend Faith Church in Dyer, IN, where he works as a worship leader and director of special needs ministries. Some of my favorite Bible verses are Titus 3:5, I Corinthians 13:4-8a, Romans 1:20 and Psalm 19:1-2.
I am looking forward to this school year! I am excited to get to know each one of you and join you in learning about this great world that God has created.
