We will begin this new week with our first formal assessment of the year - a quest! A quest is a little bigger than a quiz, but smaller than a test. It will be worth 34 points and will show what students have learned over these first couple weeks of school. Tuesday we will begin our next unit, Earth Science, by talking about the composition of Earth and plate tectonics. This discussion will take us through Wednesday, and then on Thursday we will do a lab which will teach us the current model that scientists hold for what happens underneath us everyday, which is the catalyst for tectonic plate activity we observe. Friday we will continue to discuss this model, convection currents, and talk about some applications of the model.
