After spending three amazing months at home with my little one (Jakob Vincent 11/25/12), I'm excited to come back to school and teach chemistry!! We will be picking up where Mrs. Berens left off and talk about gasses, then start discussing changes of state. Tuesday will be a day to get caught up on all I have missed while I've been gone. We'll also hand back quizzes, get new seats, and discuss a formative assessment called "Floating Balloon," that will get our minds prepared to learn about Charles' Law. Wednesday we will complete a lab to teach us Charles Law, which describes the relationship between temperature and volume of a gas. We will do an application lab on Thursday which will really get Charles' Law get stuck in our heads. Thursday will be the final test of our knowledge about Charles' Law, as we create a graph using data collected from an experiment about this law. Lots of exciting things in my first week back!
