This week we are diving into the last topic for our Physics unit - Newton's Laws of Motion. These Laws are the combination of all the smaller concepts we have been learning over the last couple weeks. It should be a good way to synthesize all the knowledge we have acquired! Monday we will briefly review information about friction, gravity, mass and weight and then students will take a Socrative assessment over what they know. If students receive less than 8/10 they should take some time to Further their Learning and re-take the assessment to demonstrate their knowledge. On Tuesday we will complete three small activities that will teach us about the Characteristics of Motion - also known as Newton's First Law. Wednesday we will continue the discussion of Newton's First Law through videos, notes, and readings. We will also begin an experiment investigating Newton's Second Law. This experiment will be finished by Thursday as we read in the book and take notes about this second law. Friday we will apply our knowledge of Newton's Second Law to a new situation. Should be a fun week!
